Travis Scott is off the hook for a disorderly intoxication charge after getting into a fight on a yacht in Miami back in June.
The 33-year-old Sicko Mode hitmaker – born Jacques Bermon Webster – has had one of his major charges dropped after a hearing on Thursday according to TMZ.
The ex of Kylie Jenner had been arrested and booked by cops for causing a drunken disturbance on a Miami Beach yacht, before writing ‘lol’ on social media at the time.
Travis was not in attendance at the most recent legal proceeding.
However, it is not all positive news for the father-of-two as the state of Florida intends on moving forward with the misdemeanor trespassing charge against him.
He is scheduled to go to trial for the misdemeanor charge on September 10.
Back in June, the rapper was arrested overnight for disorderly intoxication and trespassing at the marina, according to the affidavit seen by DailyMail.com.
Scott was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center for the two misdemeanors around 4.35am Thursday, per court records.
The Houston-born rapper – who has two young children, Stormi and Aire, with Kylie Jenner – was arrested by police at the Miami Beach Marina at 1:17 am.
The rapper was involved in ‘a disturbance on a yacht’ which involved people ‘fighting’, according to police. Scott’s lawyer Bradford Cohen told DailyMail.com the fight was verbal in nature and ‘there was absolutely no physical altercation involved’.
Ten officers approached the boat and found Scott ‘standing by the dock and yelling at the vessel occupants’, according to the affidavit.
They tried to defuse the situation by asking Scott to sit down, but he repeatedly stood back up and disregarded their orders, per the record.
Police said Scott had ‘a strong smell of alcohol’ on his breath, and Sergeant Lemus warned him to leave the dock or face arrest.
‘Throughout the long walk from the vessel to the boardwalk, the defendant walked backwards yelling obscenities to the occupants of the vessel,’ the affidavit reads.
Scott eventually returned back to his vehicle, and ordered one of his security guards to get out of the SUV so that they couldn’t leave the scene.
He then appeared to threaten his own security guard, telling officers ‘if he gets in the vehicle he’s gonna catch a fade,’ meaning get into a fight.
The rapper eventually complied with officer’s requests to leave. But just five minutes later he turned around and came back to cause more chaos.
Scott ‘began yelling once again, becoming erratic, disturbing the peace of the occupants of the marina and nearby residential buildings causing a public disturbance’ according to police.
He was detained and taken to Miami-Dade corrections facility.
When probed about whether he had been drinking alcohol, Scott said ‘it’s Miami’ and admitted that he had.
The 33-year-old submitted a $650 bond – which includes $500 for the trespass charge, and $150 for disorderly intoxication.
Scott’s lawyer Bradford Cohen told DailyMail.com the rapper was ‘briefly detained due to a misunderstanding’.
‘There was absolutely no physical altercation involved, and we thank the authorities for working with us towards a swift and amicable resolution,’ Cohen said.
The Astroworld rapper appeared bleary-eyed and expressionless in his mugshot, which has been shared by Miami Dade Corrections facility.
He appeared to respond on social media with a tweet simply reading ‘lol’ at 8.45am Thursday.
The booking comes just days before his international Circus Maximus stadium tour, which kicks off June 28 in the Netherlands.
Scott was recently spotted enjoying a family vacation in St Tropez.
He was pictured on a boat with his daughter Stormi and son Aire late May – kids he shares with his ex-girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
The previous week, Scott was involved in a skirmish with Jenner’s previous ex Tyga, 34, in Cannes.
Travis and the Kylie Cosmetics founder, 26, have had an on-off relationship since 2017, but are currently not together.
Kylie and Travis first broke up in October 2019 after sparking a romance in 2017. In February 2018, the two welcomed their first child to the world.
In August 2021, it was confirmed that the duo were expecting baby number two together after rumors had circulated that Kylie and Travis had reportedly reconciled.
It was confirmed in January 2023 that Kylie and Travis had decided to breakup for a second time after rekindling their romance in 2020.
This is not the first time that Scott has had run-ins with the law. The rapper is facing a civil lawsuit after 10 people died during a crowd surge at his concert in 2021.
Scott previously revealed he was ‘devastated’ by the Astroworld disaster, which occurred on November 5, 2021 concert in Houston, Texas.
The musician told GQ he thinks about the disaster ‘all the time’ and has had ‘rough moments’ in the two years since as he worked on comeback album, Utopia.
Those killed, who ranged in age from 9 to 27, died from compression asphyxia, which an expert likened to being crushed by a car.
The star revealed his heartbreak at his attempt at putting Houston on the map as a city to rival New York and Los Angeles and inspire children had been ‘ruined’ – after previously saying he wanted to be a ‘hometown hero’ and not a ‘villain.’
In December 2021, speaking out about the November 5 tragedy Scott sat down with podcaster Charlemagne Tha God for an interview.
In the interview, Scott blamed his ‘in-ear’ person for not urging him to stop the show sooner, and claimed that he wasn’t aware of or responsible for the fatal stampede and crowd crush
Scott said that he is ‘1000 percent’ certain he did everything he could have to prevent the tragedy, and claims he didn’t hear the screams and cries for help as the crowd went out of control.
‘Things happen, you know, and it’s just been such a time, and I’m just trying to just really figure things out,’ he said when asked why he was breaking his silence.
‘My heart wasn’t there to be the villain—I was there to be a hometown hero.’
