The presenter was pictured as it emerged Ruth Langsford is returning to Loose Women next week in the wake of their split in May
Eamonn Holmes cuts a frail figure as he stepped out for lunch with a friend – using a walker for support.
The TV presenter was spotted grabbing a bite to eat with a pal at Sam’s Cafe on Primrose Hill in London wearing a grey tshirt and tracksuit joggers and using the walker as he entered and left the restaurant.
It comes days after it emerged that Ruth Langsford is returning to Loose Women next week following her split with Eamonn.
The presenter, 64, has been absent from the show since April before it was revealed she had called time on her marriage to the father-of-four, also 64.
Ruth has kept quiet about the break-up up until now, however she now feels like she ‘owes’ the Loose Women viewers an explanation as she rejoins the panel.
A source has revealed that while it will be incredibly emotional for the presenter, who shares son, Jack with Belfast man Eamonn, she is a professional, and knows she can’t return to television without addressing her three-month absence.
News of Eamonn separating from his wife Ruth was first leaked in late May, 2024, as the pair announced they were going their separate ways after 14 years of marriage.
The golden TV duo were said to have been leading separate lives for years before ultimately splitting up with pals branding their This Morning axe as one of the main causes of their rift.
It has since been reported Eamonn is being consoled by a mystery blonde divorcee. The TV presenter is yet to confirm the rumours but took to social media last month to share emotional tribute to one woman he is incredibly fond of – his daughter Rebecca.
The former This Morning host took to Instagram this Friday, June 7, as he shared a selfie in the company of his 33-year-old daughter, penning in his caption: “lots of folk posting about their daughters . Not many girls in The Holmes family but I have one who I love and adore.”
Eamonn previously revealed he was struggling to walk in a worrying post on Instagram, after telling the Mirror he felt as if he was on “borrowed time” at the TRIC Awards.
Sharing a photo of himself, leaning against a doorframe, he told fans his mobility was a serious concern as he shared a worrying caption, which read: “Hard to stand up, but next aim is to walk off to a birthday party today. What about you?”
Eamonn’s fans flocked to support him following the post, with many congratulating him for how well he was doing. One said: “You’re doing well Eamonn, keep it up xx” while another advised: “Keep moving Eamonn, as painful as it may be. Every little movement is of benefit.”
