John Hunt makes a chilling confession as he breaks his silence on the horrific crossbow attack that killed his wife and daughters.

BBC radio presenter John Hunt, who is the husband of Carol Hunt and father of Hannah Hunt and Louise Hunt, has spoken out for the first time since their deaths

John Hunt has spoken out about the overwhelming support he’s received following the tragic murder of his wife and two daughters in a horrifying crossbow attack.

ITV’s Mark Chapman, who is a close friend of the BBC racing commentator, shared that every message of support feels like a “feels like a hug” to Mr Hunt.

He also expressed his gratitude for the thoughts directed towards him and his surviving daughter, Amy.

Carol Hunt, 61, Hannah Hunt, 28, and Louise Hunt, 25, are believed to have been found with fatal injuries by John, when he returned home to Bushey on June 9.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, all three women tragically lost their lives at the scene. Mr Chapman spoke to the BBC about his conversations with Mr Hunt, revealing that each supportive message feels like a comforting “feels like a hug”.

He added: “As far as what’s happened, it’s still beyond belief that this could happen to anyone, a family in the world. The message from all of us is when you need us [John], we are here.”

The man arrested for the murders, 26 year old Kyle Clifford, has reportedly been left paralysed and has yet to be questioned by police over the deaths, reports the Mirror.

After a tense manhunt, Clifford was discovered unconscious in an Enfield cemetery and immediately taken to hospital. He’s still under arrest while in hospital care, and recent updates reveal that he has been left paralysed due to a self-inflicted injury.

It appears he harmed his upper body before the police could apprehend him, resulting in damage to his spinal cord. Hertfordshire Police have not yet had the opportunity to interrogate him due to the extent of his injuries.

A spokesperson for the force shared with the Mirror: “A suspect remains under arrest and continues to receive treatment in hospital. As a result of his condition officers have not yet been able to interview him. Despite this, detectives from our Major Crime Unit continue with their investigation.”

Neighbours have suggested that Clifford was the former partner of one of the victims, Louise, who is believed to have sent a text message to her current partner raising the alarm, which led to the police being called.

Clifford was found at Lavender Hill Cemetery after an extensive search across Hertfordshire and north London.

Dramatic aerial footage from the cemetery captured emergency responders attending to a man, believed to be Clifford, on a stretcher.

In the video, three paramedics in orange hi-vis gear lead the way, followed by police officers in tactical attire escorting them out of the graveyard.

Clifford had a brief stint in the British Army in 2022 before his departure. A source from Whitehall disclosed: “He didn’t serve very long and he is no longer a serving member of the armed forces”.

Following the tragic loss of Carol, Hannah, and Louise, Mr Hunt released a heart-wrenching statement.

He expressed: “Notwithstanding the horrid evil that’s swept through our lives, wrecking devastation on an unimaginable scale, the counter to that has been the breath-taking messages of support, some of which are still to be read.

“Amy, my eldest daughter, has been magnificently inspirational with her control and support for me, which I am trying, trying so hard, to replicate. Every message has felt so important, the same as a reassuring hug.”
