Prince Harry has been warned that he only has himself to blame for the perceived security risk to his family in the UK.
After he brazenly spoke about killing Taliban members while he was serving in Afghanistan.
Ever since the Duke of Sussex was stripped of his taxpayer-funded security when he stepped down as a working royal.
He has been fighting to have it reinstalled over concerns his family could be under threat here.
King Charles has not seen his grandchildren Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet since June 2022.
When the whole family visited Britain for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, just months before she died aged 96 at her home in Balmoral.
Speaking on the ITV documentary Tabloids on Trial last Thursday, Harry said: “All it takes is for one lone actor who reads this stuff to act on what they’ve read. And whether it’s a knife or acid, these are things that are genuine concerns for me.”
Joe Little, of Majesty magazine, told the Mail: “It would be great to think that at some point soon the King would get to visit the grandchildren that he has seen very little of.
“But he is 75 and still not in the best of health. A visit to America is unlikely to be a priority now, given the other demands on his time. It’s an incredibly sad situation that few would have predicted even five years ago.”
Royal author Margaret Holder added that it is too challenging for the King to travel privately, but pointed out Harry’s own foolish mistake: “Harry increased the risk to himself, his wife and his family by boasting about killing 25 Taliban fighters in his book.”
